I have a limited vocabulary with respect to feelings. As a man, I have been taught that expressing and dealing with emotions should be avoided. Through my story group, I found other men who were open to revealing their stories and making a strong effort to attune to others. This process has helped me to understand the difficulties I have faced and how they formed my view toward emotions. By learning to attune to others, I have become much better at engaging and attuning to those whom I love which is an incredible reward.
